One of Andie's favorite shows is Dancing With The Stars. She has a new favorite dance from this week's episode. We watch it a dozen times a day with the same ending response ''AGAIN!"" ENJOY!! She's sooo darn cute!

Kacie's 1yr check up

Kacie went for her 1 yr check up. She is as healthy as can be. She has slowed down on the growth spurts and is evening out. She's now 21lbs 11oz and 31 in long. That puts her in the 56% for weight and 87% for height. She's tall and really skinny!! Here's a picture of her before bath time with all of her band aids from her shots :( poor little thing. Andie also got her flu shot while we were at the doctor and she was a trooper, no tears!! She's so brave!

Halloween 2008

We had a fun Halloween this year. We spent Halloween night at ''Go Wacky Night'' through our church. It was held at a big sports complex in Lakeville. They had games and blow up bouncers and slides. It was fun to see all of the little kids running around all dressed up. Andie spent most of the time bouncing on the huge inflatable Twister board while Kacie ran around the whole place. She was so funny because while she was meandering she'd go up to random men and want them to pick her up! What a goof! She knew that they weren't Mike :) She befriended one man who was happy to play with her as he has 4 boys, all of his sons had fun playing with her too. This was cute now, but won't be acceptable behavior in 15 years!! As you can see by the pictures Kacie was not very cooperative with picture taking, she wouldn't keep her hat on or hold still for a cute shot. Andie was a trooper and was easily bribed with candy. On Saturday Mike and I went to a costume party. It was nice to get out of the house and spend time with adults for a change.

''Nick or Treat''

We took the girls to ''Nick or Treat'' at MOA over the weekend. We got them dressed up in there Halloween costumes and brought them on rides and went trick or treating around the park. We met up with the Shull family (each their kids are just a couple months older than our girls) and Nixon and Andie had so much fun going on rides together. Looking back at my pictures I realized I didn't take any of Kacie. I guess all of you will have to wait until next week to see what she is.

Kacie's 1st Birthday

Kacie's birthday was filled with family and friends and when I say filled I mean FILLED with people, 15 adults and 10 kids all packed into our little house. It's so wonderful to know that my family and my children are loved and supported by so many amazing people. I just wish we had a bigger house so I could have invited even more family and friends! Kacie made out like a rock star and received lots of wonderful presents. Thank you to everyone who came. A shout out to Angel (my sister in law) who came out with her 4 kids plus a friend all by herself from an hour away, you are an inspiration, truly! It was so nice to see you even if it was only for a little while. To everyone who couldn't make it, we missed you but know you would have been here if you could. We are absolutely blessed and couldn't ask for anything more...besides a bigger house for parties! :)

Apple Orchard

While Mike's parents and sister were here we took the girls to Emma Crumbies Apple Orchard. It was VERY cold outside that day, BRR! We had fun getting apples and picking out pumpkins.

Kacie is now obsessed with trying to put clothes on. Anytime she finds an article of clothing on the floor (which is all the time) she tries to put it on over her head. She found a pair of Andie's undies and decided to put them on too.

Another Strange Place

A few months back I blogged about finding Andie asleep under her table in her room, well... My dad came over to babysit for a few hours (all by himself by the way, GO DAD!!) Of course Andie didn't nap while he was here, he is just too much fun! After I got home she went in the computer room and shut the door. She likes to go in there and play sometimes to get away from Kacie. I went to check on her and this is how I found her.

...I've got nothing

Sorry for the blogging lapse but, we really haven't been up to anything new. Our schedules have been very busy we rarely have the camera out so, I don't even have any cute new pictures to post.
Things should pick up in the next couple weeks. I'm hoping to get out to the apple orchard or pumpkin patch sometime next week when Mike has the day off. Gma and Gpa Claessens and Auntie Rachel are coming for a visit over Kacie's birthday. And of course Kacie's FIRST birthday! I can't believe she's going to be 1!! My sweet little baby is growing up so fast! So for all of my faithful bloggers out there (all 2 of you) :) I will have new and much more exciting posts soon!!

Andie and the Grizzly Bear!!!

Andie really liked the grizzly bears at the Minnesota Zoo. All three bears were resting when we originally walked through the exhibit. The zoo worker told us to come back in an hour to watch the bears try to catch their lunch. Andie had a blast watching the bears swim. It's funny... if you watch closely, the bears are too lazy to completely dive under water, so they try to catch the fish with their feet.

Oldies but Goodies

After going through Andie's old pictures trying to find matching ones with Kacie I thought I'd post some since we didn't have our blog for the first 18 months of her life. Here are some of my favorites. I don't think she looks anything like she did when she was a baby! She looks so chunky but, Kacie has always weighed more than her at the same age! I love all of her bright red hair, I wish it was still that color!!

Same Yet Different

I'm sure if Kacie would have cooperated a little bit more I could have gotten a picture that looked more like Andie but, she really wanted to come get the camera! I'll have to try again the next time she wears that outfit.

I don't even remember Andie being that age. Its a reminder to me that I really need to take in every moment and enjoy every minute I have with my girls. Time is precious and they definitely don't stay little forever (unfortunately!)

Its Official!!

It's official! Kacie can walk!!! She started taking steps a few weeks ago but in the past few days has been walking about 70% of the time. I'm sure within a day or two she'll be on the go full time! Now I really have to be on my toes!!!

Andie's favorite passtime

Andie's favorite thing is jumping, especially on her bed after bath time. I think it helps her burn off any extra energy she has before bed. I think its funny how she randomly stops for a quick break and starts right back up again. What a goofball!!
